With over 40 years of experience as an architect, programmer and facilities planner, Joe holds the position of Chief Executive Officer at RBB. Educated at Havana University, University of Colorado, and Denver Extension Center, Joe also attended the Harvard Graduate School of Design. For 40 years, he has been a stable provider to the firm’s leadership in design and planning, instilling his “hands-on” approach to each project.
Joe has worked on some of the largest and most influential projects in his field, including Harbor UCLA Medical Center where RBB is currently the lead design and planning architect for the 76 acre campus plan, Cedars-Sinai Medical Center S. Mark Taper Foundation Imaging Center, and Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center Intensive Care Unit to name a few.
Joe regularly contributes to architectural and healthcare publications and has shared his insight widely as a guest lecturer. Joe is a Past Chairman of the AIA Los Angeles Committee on Architecture for Health and a founding member of the American College of Healthcare Architects.
